I've attached some images to briefly outline the initial design process.
I created 4 quick line drawing mock ups of potential ideas for the cover. Finding that none would be exactly what we were looking for, I created a 5th more detailed render. After some more tweaks I added values, placeholder text and created three possible colour schemes.
After settling on a warm purple night scene, I set about redrawing the image, working on adding more detail to the crowd, as well as finalizing values, colour and lighting to create a vibrant crowd in an atmospheric setting.
