An illustration I produced for issue 32 of the Official magazine of the Football Medicine and Performance association, which was published in Spring 2020.
This issue happened to be released just as the severity and implications of the Covid-19 pandemic was really beginning to dawn on the world. Lockdowns were beginning to come in to effect across the globe and health services struggled to cope. I was asked to find a way of making a nod to the NHS on to the cover. We settled on the idea of depicting a nurse on her way home from work passing by the gates of Anfield. Liverpool's "YNWA" motto making an appropriate statement.
